FTN Team Presented Microfluidic Research at MIPRO 2025 in Croatia
A research team from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, led by Dr Sanja Kojić, took part in the 48th ICT and Electronics Convention – MIPRO 2025, held from June 2–6 2025 in Opatija, Croatia. Alongside established tracks such as Telecommunication, Engineering Education, and Microelectronics, newer ones, including Data Science & Biomedical Engineering (DS-BE) and Artificial Intelligence Systems (AIS), were featured during the event.
Representing the PHOENIX-OoC project, early-stage researchers Igor Putnik and Andrej Ilić presented two oral contributions in the field of computational microfluidics and tissue engineering.
- Igor Putnik delivered a talk titled “Fluid Velocity Optimization in a Computational Lab-on-Chip Model for Cellular Analysis,” focused on optimizing flow dynamics in lab-on-chip designs using COMSOL Multiphysics simulations.
- Andrej Ilić presented “In silico Optimization of Scaffolds for Skeletal Muscle Tissue Engineering,” analyzing scaffold geometries to support regenerative tissue growth.
Dr Sanja Kojić provided mentorship and took an active role in promoting the PHOENIX-OoC project through scientific exchange and networking. The team’s participation demonstrated the project’s interdisciplinary strength, bridging engineering and biomedical science through advanced simulation tools.
