Innovative Paper-Based Electrochemical Sensors Presented at BIST Event in Barcelona
On April 19, 2024, a training session hosted by ICN2 as part of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) event showcased groundbreaking advancements in biomedical technology. Held in Barcelona, the event provided a platform for researchers from leading institutions to present their latest innovations and explore collaborative opportunities.
The Phoenix-OoC project was presented by Project Coordinator Prof. Fabiana Arduini from Tor Vergata University Rome. The presentation highlighted the development of paper-based electrochemical sensors, designed for cost-effective detection of biomarkers essential for monitoring organ functions and drug interactions. These sensors are integrated into organ-on-a-chip platforms, allowing continuous biochemical monitoring.
