Phoenix-OoC Project Presented at the Nanoscale Science and Engineering for Agriculture and Food Systems Gordon Research Conference
From June 23-28, 2024, the prestigious Nanoscale Science and Engineering for Agriculture and Food Systems Gordon Research Conference took place in Manchester, USA. This international event brought together a diverse group of scientists from academia, industry, government, and NGOs to discuss cutting-edge advancements in nanotechnology and its impact on sustainable food production, agriculture, and food systems. The conference featured a range of talks, poster sessions, and networking opportunities, focusing on the latest innovations in nanoscience across various fields, including agricultural sciences, food engineering, plant and soil science, and public policy.
Prof. Fabiana Arduini from Tor Vergata University Rome, Project Coordinator of the Phoenix-OoC project, was invited to present the project during her oral presentation titled “Paper-based Electrochemical (Bio)sensors for Reliable and Sustainable Analytical Tools.” The presentation emphasized the advantages of paper-based sensors, including their capillary-driven pathways, the ability to store reagents, and their flexibility for creating origami-like configurations. These innovations have significant potential for sustainable, reliable, and cost-effective applications in various fields, including agriculture and healthcare.
