Phoenix-OoC team at the European Researchers’ Night 2025 in Novi Sad

On September 26, 2025, the Phoenix Project team took part in the European Researchers’ Night 2025 in Novi Sad, joining researchers, educators, and the public in celebrating science, creativity, and curiosity.

This year’s event, held under the theme “In Touch with Science”, offered a diverse program of interactive activities, presentations, and experiments aimed at bringing science closer to everyday life. The Phoenix team organized a hands-on origami workshop designed to help children explore the connection between art, geometry, and science through the creative process of paper folding.

Participants learned how flat paper surfaces can transform into three-dimensional models, enhancing their spatial reasoning, fine motor skills, and creative thinking. Inspired by nature, the children created animal and insect forms while discovering how geometry and biology intersect in design.

The activity reflected Phoenix’s ongoing commitment to science communication and STEM education, showing that curiosity and creativity are powerful tools for understanding science. Through this engaging workshop, the team helped make science more accessible, inspiring young minds to think, explore, and create.
